Aug. 17-23, 2020
Eastern Reception, Diagnostic & Correctional Center: At approximately 7:39 a.m. on August 18, 2020, an offender assaulted two officers. The offender grabbed one officer left wrist and pulled the officers arm through the food port. The offender threw an unknown liquid substance at the officers striking them in the face and upper torso. Additional officers responded, the offender was secured. Two officers received outside medical attention. A conduct violation was issued for this assault. Any assault may be referred for prosecution.
Jefferson City Eastern Correctional Center: At approximately 5:22 a.m. on August 19, 2020, an offender assaulted an officer. The offender threw urine at the officer. Additional officers responded, the offender was secured. The officer did not require outside medical attention. A conduct violation was issued for this assault. Any assault may be referred for prosecution.
Eastern Reception, Diagnostic & Correctional Center: At approximately 8:15 p.m. on August 20, 2020, two hundred offenders took part in a disturbance. Staff responded appropriately, and the situation was resolved by 11:56 p.m. Normal operations are continuing. No staff injuries have been reported. No offender injuries have been reported. Conduct violations will be issued.
Potosi Correctional Center: At approximately 2:20 p.m. on August 21, 2020, an offender assaulted two officers. The offender shoved one officer’s arm and struck another officer in the facial area several times with a closed fist. Additional officers responded, the offender was secured. One of the officers received outside medical attention. A conduct violation was issued for this assault. Any assault may be referred for prosecution.
Western Missouri Correctional Center: At approximately 6:03 a.m. on August 23, 2020, an offender assaulted an officer. The offender struck the officer in the facial area and back with a sharp object. Additional officers responded, the offender was secured. The officer received outside medical attention. A conduct violation was issued for this assault. Any assault may be referred for prosecution.
South Central Correctional Center: At approximately 2:20 p.m. on August 23, 2020, an offender assaulted an officer. The offender attempted to tackle the officer. Additional officers responded, the offender was secured. The officer did not require outside medical attention. A conduct violation was issued for this assault. Any assault may be referred for prosecution
