Jan. 21-27, 2019
South Center Correctional Center: At approximately 11:14 a.m. on Jan. 21, 2019, an offender assaulted an officer. The offender spat in the officer’s face and then struck the officer in the cheek and neck with his head. Staff responded appropriately, and the situation was contained. The officer was examined by outside medical staff, and bodily fluid exposure procedures were followed. A conduct violation will be issued for this assault. Any assault may be referred for prosecution.
