June 29-July 5, 2020
Eastern Reception, Diagnostic & Correctional Center: At approximately 12:56 a.m. on June 30, 2020, an offender assaulted an officer. The offender threw an unknown substance at the officer, striking the officer on the back of the head, neck, back and right arm. Additional officers responded, the offender was secured. The officer did not require outside medical attention. A conduct violation was issued for this assault. Any assault may be referred for prosecution.
Southeast Correctional Center: At approximately 6:19 a.m. on June 30, 2020, an offender assaulted an officer. The offender threw an unknown substance at the officer, striking the officer one the right arm, hand and leg. Additional officers responded, the offender was secured. The officer did not require outside medical attention. A conduct violation was issued for this assault. Any assault may be referred for prosecution.
South Central Correctional Center: At approximately 9:04 a.m. on June 30, 2020, an offender assaulted an officer. The offender spat at the officer, striking the officer in the facial area. Additional officers responded, the offender was secured. The officer did not require outside medical attention. A conduct violation was issued for this assault. Any assault may be referred for prosecution.
Boonville Correctional Center: At approximately 9:45 a.m. on July 1, 2020, an offender assaulted an officer. The offender attempted to rape the officer. Additional officers responded, the offender was secured. The officer received outside medical attention. A conduct violation was issued for this assault. Any assault may be referred for prosecution.
Boonville Correctional Center: At approximately 11:36 p.m. on July 1, 2020, 15 offenders took part in a disturbance. Staff responded appropriately, and the situation was resolved by 2:06 a.m. Normal operations are continuing. Seven staff members were assaulted, resulting in two staff members receiving outside medical attention. No offender injuries have been reported. Conduct violations will be issued.
Tipton Correctional Center: At approximately 10:30 p.m. on July 4, 2020, an offender assaulted an officer. The offender kicked at the officer, striking the officer in the shin. Additional officers responded, the offender was secured. The officer received outside medical attention. A conduct violation was issued for this assault. Any assault may be referred for prosecution.
