The Missouri state-owned facility Eastern Reception, Diagnostic & Correctional Center is comprised of approximately 213 acres in St. Francois County. There are 25 buildings on the facility grounds that include 10 housing units, a Re-entry center, training center, Reception and Diagnostic intake, power plant, administrative building and more! The facility was originally built in June of 1999 on existing farmland and opened for use in February 2003. At ERDCC, there are 8 different types of programs available to its residents. ERDCC also has 8 opportunities available to residents to work or volunteer within or outside of the facility.
