The Missouri state owned facility of Maryville Treatment Center (MTC) is comprised of approximately 39 acres in Nodaway County. There are eight buildings on the facility grounds to include food services and dining, medical and chapel, maintenance, staff training and more. The facility was originally built in January of 1948 as a convent for the Sisters of St. Francis and became a treatment center in 1995. At MTC, there are 12 different types of programming available to support its residents. MTC also has 24 additional opportunities available to residents to volunteer or work within or outside of the facility.
