The Missouri state-owned facility Tipton Correctional Center (TCC) is comprised of approximately 34 acres in Moniteau County. There are 32 buildings on the facility grounds to including 18 housing units, transportation, maintenance, Missouri Vocational Enterprises (MVE), administration, recycling building and more. The facility was constructed in January of 1915 as a girls’ home, then later used as a boys’ home. It opened as a correctional center in 1996. At TCC, there are 16 different types of programming available, including vocational work, to support its residents. TCC has seven active program opportunities available for residents to volunteer or work within or outside of the facility.
