The Missouri state owned facility Women’s Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center (WERDCC) is comprised of approximately 36.1 acres in Ralls County. There are 11 buildings on the facility grounds that hold 10 housing units, maintenance facilities, food service, VoTech and more. The facility was constructed in May of 1996 on existing farmland and opened as a correctional center in January of 1998. At WERDCC, there are 27 different types of programming available, including vocational programs, to support the residents. WERDCC has two additional opportunities available for residents to volunteer or work within or outside of the facility.
