Missouri Department of Corrections Holds Capitol Event
Exhibits showcase job training, education, agriculture, support for kids
(JEFFERSON CITY, MO) – About 96 percent of Missourians who enter Missouri Department of Corrections adult institutions ultimately return to Missouri communities. More than 19,000 are released every year. We want to make sure they're good neighbors.
Stop by Corrections Day at the Capitol March 27 in the third-floor Capitol rotunda to find out what the Department of Corrections is doing to prepare Missourians involved in the criminal justice system for success after incarceration. Take a look at our workforce development programs that provide Missouri employers with the skilled, certified, dedicated workers they need to grow the economy — while building stability for Missouri families and reducing crime. Also learn about programs in reentry, education, community supervision, agriculture, parenting and giving back to the community.

- Missouri Vocational Enterprises, a self-funded job training program with 22 industries in 12 correctional centers
