In 2022, the Missouri legislature passed a bipartisan bill directing the Missouri Department of Corrections to establish a correctional center nursery by July 2025. Within this rehabilitative program, incarcerated women will be allowed to care for and bond with their child for up to 18 months, while in the women’s correctional facility. During this time, the women will receive reentry services and learning opportunities geared toward reducing recidivism, becoming a productive member of society, and growing as a caregiver for their child. Your donations will go directly toward supplying these mothers with the support they need to ensure their success within this innovative program.
